Bosa Art Co is Eight Years Old! Happy Birthday SALE!!!!

4th of February 2026

From a small box of cards!

Wow! What a journey it has been!

I remember sitting at my desk wrapping up my very first wholesale order. I was so excited. I was like, "what a good order", 6 of each card and I had 6 designs! I was so grateful and my mind was thinking of the possibilities.

Fast forward to today and Bosa Art Co has become a recognized brand in Tasmania, stocked in more than 30 stores on the island and almost 90 shops country wide. It is in many stores across Australia, in every state and every corner from Perth, Broom, Cairns, Wagga Wagga, Byron Bay, Sydney, Melbourne and many places in between!

It hasn't been an easy journey, but I never doubted my path, even to this day. I think we all have a "thing" we are supposed to pursue in our lives. I think the Japanese call this "Ikigai", find what makes your life meaningful by doing what you love, what you're good at, and what the world needs. This is what Bosa Art Co is for me.

What I have learned in eight years

I know I have so much still to learn. That is what life is about, let alone growing a business. You start, you learn, you grow, you learn, you grow more, you make mistakes, you learn, you grow again!

Stepping into my eighth year, I am feeling very calm and grounded. I have figured out a few things that have stabilized my life in a way. I have purposefully grown Bosa slowly as I have been raising two young boys and one of my values was to support them. Doing school runs before and after school, taking them to their sports and being home for them. Billy is in high school now and is becoming more independent, Oliver has a few more years to go before High School. But that time will fly. Life is so full and busy, but I am following my heart and soul, and I love what I do.

A few things that help me balance my life:

The 1% rule: 1% doesn't sound like much, but moving forward by 1% every day for a year, that is a growth of 3678%! Compound that over a few years! Voila, look how far you have come, and barely felt it! So, on my good days, I am pushing 100%, but I can't do that sustainably, so I never feel bad when all I can do is 1%. Because 1% is always better than nothing.

Don't be busy for the sake of being busy. For a long time, I did a lot of "stuff" that I thought was moving the needle. But it was burning me out, making me cranky and I was losing my fire. I realized that some of the things I was doing, didn't in fact help me, but instead they were just filling in time. My list of to-do's is a lot shorter now, and my business is still growing.

I Read the book "Profit First". If you don't have a clue on how to run a business bank account (or a home bank account) read this book, or get a good banking system in place on day one. Learn how to pay yourself, how to grow a profit account, make sure you have funds in your account to help you grow, because growth costs money!

Most importantly, I try to be super organized. I meal plan and do my groceries once a week. I lay out my week in a diary, I try to have a good healthy routine. I go to bed early and wake up early. I don't drink alcohol anymore and I try to get some exercise.

Last but definitely not the least, no one is perfect. Don't try to be. Perfection kills progress and it makes you feel like crap! So don't honor that word. Get rid of it and replace it with "good". Thats good, I'm happy with that, lets move forward!

What is next for Bosa Art Co?

I am not sure what will unfold into the future. All I know is that nothing stays the same, things that work today may not work tomorrow. But for the time being, I will keep designing new beautiful cards, art prints, stickers and more and I will keep designing fabric for beautiful small businesses! What would I like? I would love to move into a studio space as I am still running Bosa Art Co out of my living room! I would love to reintroduce workshops again. I would love to find more time and space to give back more. But This will all come with time and when its ready to.

I am so thankful for you! I am so grateful that I have the support to keep pursuing my Ikigai! I hope I can keep spreading joy with my illustrations. Much Love, Sarah.

How Bosa Art Co Started!

8th of September 2026 It started without a plan: I had a toddler and a baby. Thats a full time job in itself. I worked in a hospitality retail job a few days a week. It didn't always flow well with being a new mum. There was always challenges. At the end of the days, when dinner was done, kids where bathed and put to bed, I would usually crash on the couch and just scroll Instagram or watch TV. Until one night. . . I was scrolling Instagram and an artist in the UK popped up. It was late...

23rd of July, 2026 Happy Birthday to Me! As my birthday rolls around each year, I find myself reflecting less on how old I'm getting and more on how far I've come. Eight years ago, I had a box of greeting cards sitting in my house. That was it. No website. No customers. No stockists. No business plan. No grand vision for what would become Bosa Art Co. Just a box of cards and a hope that maybe, somehow, someone would want to buy them. Looking back now, it's funny to think that I was holding a...

Winter Solstice

21st of June, 2026 Slow Living on Holidays Hello, A few weeks ago, my little family packed our bags and flew north to Queensland. I needed some vitamin D, we realised we'd never taken a proper family holiday with the kids, and after eight years of pouring my heart into growing Bosa Art Co., I realised I had never truly stopped and actually celebrate how far I'd come. So I decided it was time. Time to rest.Time to explore.Time to tick a few things off my bucket list. Before I knew it, we were...
