I am Dyslexic (Part One)

13th March 2025

I am proud to have Dyslexia.

If we all looked, acted and thought all in the same way, this world would be a very dull place. Actually, if this was the case, humans wouldn't have evolved and become as successful as we have. Biodiversity is essential for life, and because we are all different, we have made it this far. New ideas, better ways, watching and learning off others. This is why there are neurodivergent and neurotypical minds. We all fit into this big puzzle called life.

We neurodivergent humans have only started having struggles in the age of academia. Our minds don't work well in these situations. But on the other hand, let us be entrepreneur's, let us dive deep into creativity, let us follow our deepest passions, we will do amazing things.

I have entered a studio note on my website with my story. I would love for you to have a read if this subject interest you. I want the word "dyslexia" to be more understood. I want it to be added to our lists of quality traits a person might have. I want the misunderstanding of it to be cleared up and for dyslexics to be understood better than they are. But first, I want to show how if we keep things as they are, if we don't start talking about it, what kind of damage this does to young minds.

Did you know:

Up to 20% of the population are neurodivergent (mostly undiagnosed). They say 40% of Billionaires are Neurodivergent, and Australian stats show *50% of people incarcerated in prison are also Neurodivergent. *This is from pushing young minds down and making them feel like outcasts. When some people feel like outsiders they show their frustration with anger. This is a downward spiral.

The rise in diagnosis of neurodivergent is not from food, vaccines, or any other outside influences. (I know, this is a controversial conversation!) It is just we have been misunderstood and under diagnosed up until now and still are. This is an evolutionary design in humans, not a 21st century disease.

Some everyday items/evolutionary designs that were created by Dyslexics: The light bulb, The telephone, The Car (The Ford Model T), The iPhone, The first flight (Wright Brothers), Production Lines, they even say Einstein was dyslexic! Just look around and you will see why a neurodivergent mind is amazing!
