School is back, am I already overwhelmed? YES!

5th of March, 2026

My creativity took a hiatus!

Time in nature is needed ASAP! School has started and I am already feeling that "oh shit" overwhelm all us mothers experience! I do generally have coping strategies, but sometimes life just gets too crazy to cope. And the first thing I notice when this happens is my creativity goes on vacation. I do hope it has gone somewhere nice, like a tropical beach somewhere or a nice ski holiday HA HA HA.

Nature is my medicine

If you are a creative, I am sure you know the ups and downs. You feel so energized and your creativity is flowing and everything you create is amazing! Then overnight your brain goes blank. Your motivation to even pick up the pencil is nowhere to be found. This usually happens to me when life gets hectic or something throughs a curve ball at my life and I can't hold any mental space for anything else. Usually all I need to do is go for a walk on my local beach and wiggle my toes in the sand. But sometimes it takes a longer hiatus, and I need a bit longer to find it. If this happens I have a few more tricks to get it flowing again. firstly, I will try and just push through it, this doesn't always work and usually the work isn't my best when I do this, and its not great advice. If that doesn't work I will exercise one of my other creative vises, like Gardening or Baking. Sometimes by doing anything creative, it lifts your mood up and your creativity comes home skipping and happy.

Art I have been dabbling in:

I have been curling up in bed illustrating some clip art for my confirmation emails. I am hoping to pop this little guy in my Confirmation of Purchase emails as soon as I can figure out how to do it!

Something New:

If you missed it, my newest notebook and art print is this kookaburra! The painting is of two introduced species in Tasmania, the Kookaburra and the European Goldfinch. The Kookaburra has had a feed of something feathered, and the finch is enjoying some cabbage moths! And they are sitting in a magnolia! This painting took me some time to do, but I enjoyed the playfulness of it.

Next Markets:

I will be attending the Salamanca Market on these days this March, I hope you pop by if you can!

A New Retail Partner: Park Art in Dodges Ferry, Tasmania!

Park Art is a small co-operative tucked behind the Park Cafe in Dodges Ferry, Tasmania. It is full of handmade treasures, stunning paintings, jewelry and more, all made by the locals that live in or near this surfer's paradise! They asked if they could stock a few of my products and I jumped at the opportunity! (You can also find Little Lissa Loo there too, a handmade children's clothing brand I design for). If you are in or near the area, pop in and support local!

How Bosa Art Co Started!

8th of September 2026 It started without a plan: I had a toddler and a baby. Thats a full time job in itself. I worked in a hospitality retail job a few days a week. It didn't always flow well with being a new mum. There was always challenges. At the end of the days, when dinner was done, kids where bathed and put to bed, I would usually crash on the couch and just scroll Instagram or watch TV. Until one night. . . I was scrolling Instagram and an artist in the UK popped up. It was late...

23rd of July, 2026 Happy Birthday to Me! As my birthday rolls around each year, I find myself reflecting less on how old I'm getting and more on how far I've come. Eight years ago, I had a box of greeting cards sitting in my house. That was it. No website. No customers. No stockists. No business plan. No grand vision for what would become Bosa Art Co. Just a box of cards and a hope that maybe, somehow, someone would want to buy them. Looking back now, it's funny to think that I was holding a...

Winter Solstice

21st of June, 2026 Slow Living on Holidays Hello, A few weeks ago, my little family packed our bags and flew north to Queensland. I needed some vitamin D, we realised we'd never taken a proper family holiday with the kids, and after eight years of pouring my heart into growing Bosa Art Co., I realised I had never truly stopped and actually celebrate how far I'd come. So I decided it was time. Time to rest.Time to explore.Time to tick a few things off my bucket list. Before I knew it, we were...
