Sea Stars and Star Fish!

I spent a bit of time over the last few weeks painting different star fish and sea stars. It was a great ease into the book illustrations. These above are probably my favorite. They are common star fish and I painted a handful of these.

I have already started the next two sea creatures. I am actually having a lot of fun with them. I am going to keep them a secret until they are done, but I have a few hints for you to try and guess!

They are both quite rare.

One is found here in Tasmania.

They are both very odd looking.

One is quite scary, stuff of nightmares ha ha.

One is endangered and the other very little is known about it.

and I will only give you guys this clue about the scary one. . .It lives in a very very dark place!

Mother's Day Card!

If you have been through the Hobart Airport, you may have spent time browsing all the beautiful Tasmanian creations in the two gift shops. Well, the airport has been under construction for some time, and the new shop has now opened incorporating both shops into one!
